Cristos Ifantides, MD, MBA is a fellowship-trained, board-certified anterior-segment surgeon and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he also directs ophthalmic global outreach and serves as interim co-chief of ophthalmology at Denver Health, the region’s safety-net academic eye center. Internationally recognized for pioneering surgical techniques that are now standard in complex cataract and corneal surgery, Dr. Ifantides couples high-volume clinical practice with an active research portfolio spanning intraocular lens design, capsular biomechanics, and novel anterior-segment devices, reflected in 160-plus indexed publications and collaborations worldwide. He also advises industry on innovation pathways, recently joining Ace Vision Group as Director of Clinical Applications Development to translate lab concepts into real-world solutions. As a scientific advisor to Eye to Eye Telehealth, Dr. Ifantides leverages his academic-center insight, global outreach experience, and hands-on expertise with advanced imaging and tonometry to strengthen our clinical validation, usability research, and market-entry strategy for next-generation home IOP monitoring.
